well after being called for about not being "open ai" openai finally did launched open source model, i feel it is name sake though might be useful for someone for us I am building portfolio of saas apps and we never were able to promote the usage of open source model

for example for our AI PPT Maker we want to support for it when we saw launch of LocalLLM something desktop app but it was not something we were able to promote much

personally i think api is much better interface but this can be great for schools or enterprise when some tasks which is small but need to be done a lot like

for askvideo.ai app of ours customer asked to run it for 1000s of video that was shocking and not something our plans cover so i though something like this would have been great
